Norwich is a great city full of culture and entertainment, with plenty to explore and discover. Today Norwich is a Cathedral City set in the beautiful landscape of this area of England, within easy reach of The Broads and the arc of the north east Norfolk coast. One of the finest views of the city is from Mousehold Heath, a tract of furze and heather. From the heath can be seen the towers of more than 30 medieval parish churches, dominated by the cathedral spire soaring 315 feet. The cathedral has a superb Norman nave and tower, to which the present day stone spire was added in the 15th century. The Norman Keep of Norwich Castle stands on the most substantial of the city's hills, surrounded by a moat converted into attractive gardens and walks great for a leisurely afternoon stroll. The city is full of amazing sights and historical heritage, plus full of attractions and entertainment, great shopping, with plenty of places to eat and drink. The surrounding area also has a lot of charm and character. There is also plenty of opportunities to take a drive, a stroll, walk or cycle into the surrounding countryside to soak up the atmosphere and wildlife of the area.
