Mexico City is the capital of Mexico. Once occupied by Aztec civilization today it is the country's cosmopolitan business, art and tourist centre. Mexico City is one of the world's largest cities. Main attractions include the Zocalo, the main central square with its Spanish Cathedral and Aztec ruins. The city has some 160 museums, over 100 art galleries, and about 30 concert halls. Mexico City also has a varied array of nightlife bars, discos, quiet cantinas, leather bars, drag shows, stripper lounges, darkrooms and piano bars.
From the Alameda ( which oozes vibrations of Aztec times) to the Chic shopping neighboorhood of The Zona Rosa, Mexico City offers endless options to the urban tourist.
