Leicester square has been a centre for entertainment for over 150 years with Turkish baths, oyster rooms and music halls. Then in the 1930s movie mania set in and huge movie houses were converted from the grand old theatres. Today Leicester Square is still the perfect place to catch an afternoon matinee or relax in one of the many pavement cafes. By night Leicester Square is one of the busiest spots in London, one big, youthful party!

Underground: Tube Piccadilly/Northern Line

Bus Routes: -2

Connections for The West End: Tube and bus connections in the West End to the rest of London are excellent. If you are flying into Heathrow Airport, you can take the Airbus or Underground Piccadilly Line. With buses a good number to remember is 15, this will take you round the major tourist attractions at a much cheaper price than an official sight seeing tour!
