Set in a 1909 brick building, this wedge-shaped hotel overlooks Market Street, where the Civic Center meets the Tenderloin. Renovated in 2001, guestrooms feature dark-wood furnishings, floral-print fabrics, and working windows. All are non-smoking. The hotel restaurant offers a taste of Rio with churrascaria (all-you-can-eat barbecued meats) and other Brazilian dishes.
