Chic Art Deco hotel with popular bar and restaurant The Hotel Astor is on Washington Street in the middle of the South Beach Art Deco district, 3 blocks from the beach. All 40 rooms are decorated to resemble ocean liner staterooms, with marble bathrooms and faux portholes. The 3-floor 1936 Art Deco classic was renovated in 1995. In 2002 the pool area became an outdoor patio with waterfall wall.
