The Grace Hotel is a beautifully restored 11-storey art deco building opened in 1930. It was originally built as headquaters for the Australian department store impresarios, the Grace Brothers, and has been recently classified by the Australian National Trust. Restoration has been meticulous, with many original features retained such as light fittings, lifts, stairwells, pressed-metal ceilings, marble floors, wide hallways and elegant decorative ironwork. The Grace Hotel has not only kept the style of those bygone years through the exterior of the hotel but also the interior which features a large and spacious lobby. Our 382 spacious guest rooms and suites have views of the city or into a magnificent natural light well located in the centre of the 11 storey hotel. All rooms are reminiscent of the splendour of the historic 1930's building whilst incorporating the requirements of today's discerning traveller. We have 6 totally dedicated non-smoking floors and 3 disabled rooms. Every room is equipped with a modern telecommunications system incorporating voice mail and data ports.
