Cancun, Mexico is a city in the coastal south-eastern state of Quintana Roo best known as a tourist resort and vacation package destination. Every year millions of people visit Cancun and the Riviera Maya. In Cancun alone there are about 150 hotels with 24,000 rooms and hundreds of restaurants. Two million visitors arrive each year in an average of 190 flights daily. The hotel zone is one of the most exclusive internationally, with upmarket restaurants, bars. Downtown Cancun has a different aspect with several clubs for all types of people and hotels with lower rates for all types of travelers. Cancun also has an interactive park where visitors can see the marine diversity of the area.
Cancun is served by Cancun International Airport (CUN), one of the busiest airports in the Caribbean.
