If you are going to be visiting the US for a vacation, then confusion about where to go and what to miss is bound to arise. Since the USA is not just a country, but almost a whole continent that offers a number of myriad attractions to its visitors, uncertainty about the most important places to visit is something that almost every US traveler faces. If you are also going through a vacation planning phase of “miss this, make that”, then a list of the most important places in the US that you should never miss out on are:
New York City (New York): You simply cannot go to the US and not see New York City. For the whole world, the Statue of Liberty in New York symbolizes everything that America stands for, and not getting to see it firsthand makes for a second grade US vacation. The major attractions that you should cover in ‘The Big Apple’ are the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, The Empire State Building, Broadway Theatre Productions, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rockefeller Center, Washington Square Park, Bronx Zoo, Times Square and the New York Botanical Gardens.
Orlando(Florida): If you are taking your kids along with you to the US, then you simply cannot miss Orlando. Even for adults, Orlando offers a host of hotspots ranging from Universal Studios and Sea World Orlando to the Walt Disney World and Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Orlando also has a number of beautiful beaches where you can have a great time with your family. Other attractions that should not be missed are the Island of Adventure, Discovery Cove marine theme park, Wet ‘N Wild Water Park, Gatorland crocodile farm and wildlife theme park, the Holy Land Experience Museum, Orlando Museum and the Orlando Science Center.
San Francisco (California): San Francisco looks like a combination of the new and the old. With the Silicon Valley on one side and the cobbled streets with Victorian architecture on another, San Francisco can definitely be one of the most charming places in the US. Major tourist attractions that you should not miss while you are in San Francisco are the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz Islands, Japanese Tea Gardens, Chinatown, the Historic Cable cars and the Exploratorium. Other tourist spots are the Lombard streets in Russian Hill, the Civic Center, the Ferry Building and Coit Tower.
Las Vegas(Nevada): Just like a kids’ vacation in the US is not complete without Orlando and Disney World, an adult vacation to the States is not complete without a visit to the Sin City. Las Vegas’s collection of some of the world’s best casinos, restaurants, malls and theme parks make it the ‘ Entertainment Capital of the World’. Visit some out of the best casinos– Four Queens, Las Vegas Club, Fremont Casino, Golden Nugget etcetera and do not miss the Adventuredome, M&M’s World, Desperado, Gondola, Springs Preserve and the Stratosphere Tower when you are here.
