Talk about a sports travel and the most obvious location should be Panama located in Central America. I came across many places where people could enjoy sports when on a trip, but the options when one visits Panama are so impressive that I could just not stop myself from writing about them!
Panama is a place that is loaded with beauty, be it the beaches or forests, every inch of this place is filled with life and spurs a lot of activity. This place is home to the Panama Canal, the eighth wonder of the world. This is not just beautiful but also serves as an important mode for transit across oceans.
For sports lovers, there seems to be a lot stacked up in this lovely stretch of land. There are a number of water sports to entertain the tourists. Diving and snorkeling are the favorite among the population. Visit the Bocas del Toro and Taboga Island and you will be surprised to see offerings they have for the tourists. Whitewater rafting is a new trend that is catching up in this place. It specially thrives between April and December which is mainly due to the rainy season. You can test your whitewater rafting skills at locations in the Pacific or Atlantic.
For those who love the still waters and prefer an activity that is least stressful, just try your hand at fishing. There are many locations along the Pacific and the Caribbean where fishing can be satisfying as these places are abundantly blessed with the fishes. There is another version to this silent activity, the deep sea fishing. You can experience a completely different scenario when amidst the waters, a world you had never explored before!
This country has a few golf clubs open to the public. Some of the famous ones are Panama Country Club and the Summit. If you are lucky enough to get a guest card, you could even play at Coronado Beach Country Club, a chance never to be missed.
Another favorite sport in this country is horse riding. Chiriquà Province is especially famous for this sport. Its wonderful landscape and weather make it an ideal home for the horses and cattle. When here, you can get to visit some of the farms where you will get more knowledge about horse breeding. There are certain horse trips arranged for the benefit of the tourists; these would be a pleasure to explore.
What I understood about this place I that it has so much to offer to the tourist that we have to go at leisure to explore each of them. Be it the exciting sports or ones that completely relax you and put you through a cycle of introspection, Panama is apt for all.
