Shop till you drop

You can start off with shopping at the famous Oxford Street, with so many glamorous and high end shops in a multitude of categories. You might truly be surprised to know that shopping might never really be complete here, mainly because of the large number of places that you can go to. However, you might also want to spare some time to check out some of the quality museums that London has to offer.

Mid-day at the museum

If you have had your fill with shopping, you might want to head to one of the beautiful museums of London. These include the British Museum, which is perhaps one of Europe’s most famous museums. With over 94 galleries of architectural finds, you might really have a tough time being done with this in a short period of time. You can also check out the London Dungeon, which is an alternative perspective of London, with a slightly disturbing look at London’s colourful history.

Eat at fine restaurants

If your budget permits it, you should consider eating at one of the many fine restaurants that London has to offer. There are so many different restaurants here that are highly rated that it might become quite difficult to pick the right one out. You should perhaps try them all out to experience something new and different, as there are some tastes that are unique to this place. The Ivy Restaurant is a premier place for fine dining and worth a visit. For people on a budget, going to Zizzi is highly recommended.

Watch a play / Go to an arena

To end the day, you might want to check out a traditional English play. There are a lot of fine theatres here that you can go to, including the Apollo Theatre, which is located in Victoria. These are the higher end theatres and come under the ‘West End’ category. Some other premier theatres here include the Off West End ones as well as The Fringe. Some of the famous arenas worth checking out in London include the O2 arena and The Millennium Dome.

Even international comedians had performed in this club, while visiting London.

The Renaissance Hotel Heathrow in Bath Road, London is arranging at 2-30 pm on January 30, a lecture by Jordan Belfort on ‘Breakthrough to Extreme Wealth’. Admission is free but prior reservation is required. The lecture will teach the route to become a millionaire in less than 3 years, the technique of success in creating wealth, and the secret of turning fear into success through brain reprogramming. Belfort achieved a net worth of more than $100 million in his mid-twenties.

On January 31, the Durutti Column is presenting a concert in the Leicester Square Theatre at Leicester Place in London at 7-30 pm. The band is expected to perform a selection of their favourite tracks out of their 30-year catalogue. The entry fee is £17.50. The Monto Water Rats Theatre in Grays Inn Road in London is organizing the band performance of Lost Gravity on January 31 at 7-30 pm. The admission price is £6. Lost Gravity formed by the guitarist Breno in 2007 had established itself as a very good band for playing original metal and rock.

The Roundhouse on Chalk Farm Road in London is organizing the programme of one of the most popular bands, All Times Low, that had earned a very good name in fizzy and fast-paced pop-punk. The event is planned for February 6 at 7-00 pm. This is to be followed by a performance from my passion, the electro shock rock group.

The Institute of Contemporary Arts or ICA at The Mall in London is arranging the cinema release of Beyond the Pole on February 12 between 6-30 pm and 8-00 pm. Beyond the Pole stars Stephen Mangan, Helen Baxendale, Alexander Skarsgard, and Rhys Thomas. The reviews about the cinema had been very good and the cast and crew are expected to be presented during this event at ICA before the nationwide release. The ICA contains a cinema, three galleries, a theatre, restaurant, late bar and café, and a bookshop.

The Electric Ballroom situated in Camden High Street in London is conducting the programme of Owl City on February 18 at 7-00 pm. Owl City is the melodious brand of music creation of Adam Young from a small town in Minnesota, US. The Electric Ballroom had been hosting musical events of star performers like Jim Reeves, The Clash, The Smiths, Madness, and Sid Vicious in the past.

On February 23, at 7-30 pm, the Wembley Arena in Arena Square Engineers Way, London, will witness the musical event, ’30 Seconds to Mars’, performed by Jared Leto, Shannon Leto, and Tomo Milicevic. The group debut was in 2002 and their creative exploration of music had been appreciated by many. The admission charges are around £23.

Londoners offered chance to eat sushi off naked models - Flash Sushi Restauarant

Adventurous Londoners are now able to eat sushi off naked female models – but the cost of sampling the traditional Nyotaimori experience comes at a high cost.

Despite the credit crunch-defying price of £250 per head, founder Nigel Carlos said there was a “need in the market for it.”

Mr Carlos, who started up the venture with Japanese-raised Nick Hepburn, added: “There’s obviously high end Japanese restaurants out there, however there is no mainstream, or anybody doing it right or authentically in the UK. We saw an opportunity to bring this kind of traditional dining to London for adventurous London diners.”

He admitted the high price tag – which includes champagne on arrival, a 10-course authentic sushi dinner prepared by a genuine Japanese chef, all eaten off the female body, and unlimited alcohol – limited the number of people who could partake in it.

Mr Carlos said the tradition was getting an “underground” following in the US after it was brought to public attention by celebrities including Tom Cruise, George Clooney and Pierce Brosnan, Flash Sushi is bringing it to London.
