Baltimore is the largest city in Maryland. Baltimore is located on the Patapsco River, in the north central part of the state of Maryland. Redevelopment of the downtown area have led to a revitilization of the Inner Harbor with a modern retail and restaurant complex on the waterfront followed by the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland's largest tourist destination. The Baltimore Convention Center was also opened and renovated.
