If you don't want to walk or bike it trams are the best way to travel around central Amsterdam. All leave from Centraal Station and provides a frequent, fast and dependable service. Number 20 is the circle tram that passes most of the main tourist attractions and many of the major hotels. It runs every 10 minutes from 9:00am - 7:00pm. The bus and metro lines serve the suburbs and outlying areas of the city.
