Holland is famous for it's tulips and there are huge flower markets all throughout the city of Amsterdam. Traders used to sail up the River Amstel and moor their boats here in order to sell the flowers. Today the Bloemenmarkt is the last of Amsterdam's floating flower markets with wonderful seasonal displays that are especially stunning in the spring.
